An old 70s cream brick home was given a facelift, extended and extensively renovated. Complementing the new bagged exterior and Colorbond roof, Coldstream Rock columns, a pitch-roofed porch and double timber entry doors were added to the facade. New windows, flooring, plasterboard and painting throughout provided a backdrop for completely renovated bathrooms, a huge laundry and high-spec kitchen with stainless steel splashbacks. New heating, cooling and hot water systems were added for comfort.
The existing open fire was built-out with a Coldstream Rock fireplace, hearth and chunky recycled timber mantel. Structural beams in the vaulted ceiling were clad in recycled hardwood and roof windows provided an injection of light.
The existing pool was re-tiled, fitted with new equipment, solar heating and a glass pool fence to meet current regulations. A new deck down to an extended paved pool surround provides an extensive outdoor entertaining area.
